yesss i love recommending new music to people > here are some bands i’ve been loving lately: first i have to recommend my all time favorite, blue öyster cult! i’ve been obsessed with them for almost a decade and their music is truly like none other. they sing about so many spooky subjects and a lot of their stuff has very dark or foreboding undertones. i could go on about them all day LOL for metal or general heavy stuff: black sabbath, eternal champion, motorhead, warlock, omen (classic style) system of a down, static x, skinny puppy, rob zombie, kittie, my ruin, tool (industrial or nu/newer metal) primus, gwar, faith no more (weirdo metal > punk/post punk/goth/other rock: the cramps, siouxsie & the banshees, bauhaus, type o negative, dead kennedys, the damned, porno for pyros, placebo, garbage progressive rock (a genre i love so dearly): yes, genesis, king crimson, rush, pink floyd, jethro tull other stuff! deep purple (classic heavy rock), the specials (ska), cherry poppin daddies (ska & swing), sleater kinney (not sure what to classify them as really. 90s rock i guess?), devo, talking heads, visage (80s new wave) i hope that’s not too much ^^; if you want any individual song or album recs i can also provide those!!

Ohhhh music recs mmmmhh I have been really vibing with Lord of The Lost lately. Maybe you guys already know them but lately after mildly listening to them for a few years I deep dived into their discography and boi my Spotify Wrapped is already written in stone for this year I'm afraid.
I've also been listening to Beyond the Black a lot and their latest album is reeeaally good. For other stuff that is my go to that's on a whole different page I'd say Poor Man's Poison. Really vibing with The Amazing Devil and Karliene for my monthly folk and fantasy needs.
I don't have a lot of faves that I'd define as obscure so you'll probably have already heard some of them, but my other go to's are def Set it off, IDKHOW, Blackmore's night, You Me at Six, Hollywood Undead, Saint Motel, The unlikely candidates and OH there's this AWESOME native band from Siberia called Otyken that I've been OBSESSED with. And Syr, which is. More folk/celtic inspired stuff and I really love their sound. My sister also really likes SKÁLD and I agree they're awesome.
Aaaaand that's it! I took the "any kind" very literally, hopefully something will catch your interest! Happy discovering!
