I saw gloomyghoul had asked for recs of Black musicians, but they didn't remake the thread under this subforum so I wanted to share a few I listen to, plus a few songs of theirs to check out. Some are goth, some are not :3
– Danny Denial [Black punk]
"Dead Like Me" "I'm not your type"
– Wrust [Metal] "Too Deep" – She Wants Revenge [Dark wave] "Tear You Apart" "She Will Always Be A Broken Girl" "True Romance" – Pitch After Dark [Deathrock / Gothic rock] "Torn" "Discipline"
Pitch After Dark are my favorite of these... can't wait for their next album to drop
Please feel free to share more!!

It’s a bit outdated now but someone in 2016 made a long list of POC in alternative music (this includes Black musicians also nonblack POC but mostly specifies): www.tumblr.com/diningwithdana/154690051566/poc-in-gothpunkalternative-music-submissionsSome of my recent favourite discoveries are Cinnamon Babe (nu metal band, my fave songs are Typecast and Rock and Roll is Black), Baby Storme (alt pop artist leaning synthwave, my fave songs are Sunglasses at Night and This City is a Graveyard), ALT BLK ERA (trap metal I guess? They’re two sisters who're like just out of high school and when I saw them live opening for Lord of the Lost I was determined to stan them and spread the good word of now nice they are) and Pure Hell (very early punk, love their album Noise Addiction which went unreleased for 28 years). Some of my all-time favourite artists are Lenny Kravitz, Sade, serpentwithfeet and Death (the early punk band whose song Freakin Out was on the Wendell & Wild soundtrack, not the metal band Death haha)! I can also recommend Meet Me @ the Altar (some of the coolest people EVER), Yves Tumor, Nova Twins and Flyana Boss for some people with cool styles.
